Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis, Senior Investigating Officer, stated: “Following completion the post mortem examination, we are now in a position to confirm that Wenjing’s murder has been treated as murder.”
“This is a terrible and shocking incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with Wenjing’s family and friends during this very difficult time. I can assure the community that we are not searching for any other suspects in this incident.
“I am grateful for the help we received from the community during our inquiries.”
Police released a statement on Friday stating that they were dealing “a number casualties”.
The Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said that they had sent three ambulances, one rapid response vehicle, and three emergency ambulances to the scene. They also dispatched the hazardous area response team, as well as the Wales Air Ambulance.
