Gareth Anscombe, 31 years old, arrived in London on Sunday. He had stayed with Milica for an additional couple of days because she was due to give way to their second child. The birth of their new son Theo Mika was missed by the Ospreys fly-half. Anscombe posted on social media, “A whirlwind 24-hours, I landed at South Africa to hear about my baby boy just being born.”
Gareth Anscombe said, “Ironic, I tried to stay behind just to miss it. Milica Anscombe can be described as a “machine.” The 33 other players of the squad flew out Thursday night ahead of the Springboks series. Wales will face the world champions in Pretoria on July 2nd. Further international matches will follow in Bloemfontein on Saturdays and Cape Town on Saturdays.
