After video of a machete fight broke out in broad daylight, two men were arrested. A bystander captured footage of the man wearing a grey hoodie, a baseball cap and following a man wearing a black vest. The injured man appears to be carrying a massive 18-inch “zombie” knife. He runs towards a white Toyota pickup truck and his friend hands him a machete.
One can hear a woman screaming in terror, asking for help: “Please don’t!” Please do not! “The topless man throws his weapon during the duel and runs for cover as his armed counterpart pursues him. He grabs the weapon again and begins to lash out at the other. They both drop their knives and begin throwing punches onto the floor.
The fight was over, and all involved fled the scene in separate vehicles before police arrived. Officers arrived on the scene and found two injured men. Chief Inspector Derry Crorken of Blackburn and Darwen Police said that he had launched an investigation into the attack at Corporation Park.
“I am aware that this incident must have been extremely frightening and worrying for many people in the park at that time. I want to assure residents that we are doing all we can to get those responsible arrested. “This incident is being treated as an isolated incident, and there have been increased patrols in the area.”
