Katie Kenyon (33), is being sought by police after she was spotted leaving Burnley with a man almost five days ago. A 50-year old man being questioned about kidnap was further arrested on suspicion that he had murdered.
Katie was last seen in a silver Ford Transit van. After it was seen traveling to Bolton by Bowland, a picture of the van with the number plate MT57FLC has been released.
After Katie’s disappearance, police, mountain rescue teams, and fire crews were combing Gisburn Forest, Lancashire.
It’s now a waiting game. We have searched everywhere and contacted everyone.
“They haven’t found a body!” They haven’t charged him with murder! They arrested him under suspicion of murder! We are still searching for Katie. This is extremely heartbreaking for us.

She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and white vest top, black leggings and flip flops.Police say they are ‘increasingly concerned’ over her disappearance.Detective Superintendent Gary Brooks said: ‘While I hold some slim hope that Katie may still be found alive I’m sad to say that Katie has now been missing for over four days.Despite extensive police enquiries and media appeals we have not found Katie nor have there been any sightings of Katie.
“We spoke to Katie’s family today. They are understandably very upset about this latest development. I have officers continuing my support. They are in my thoughts and prayers. I am grateful for the support that the public has given me so far.
“While we have someone under arrest, our inquiries are very much ongoing.”
