This British-owned restaurant chain will open a delivery kitchen in Deepdale Retail Park off Blackpool Road. It will accept its first orders Monday, March 21. The ‘kitchen” will be located in a block next to Halfords Autocentre, and CTD Tile Showroom. However, it will not be open to the public. The Owners of The Restaurant Group stated that the delivery hub will offer a full menu and delivery via Deliveroo to all areas of the city.
Wagamama was founded in 1992 and specialises in Asian rice, noodle and pasta dishes. Its restaurants were inspired by fast-paced Japanese Ramen bars, where the dishes are delivered to customers at long communal tables.
Wagamama’s nearest restaurant is located at Middlebrook Retail Park, Horwich near Bolton. There are also restaurants in Liverpool and Manchester. The new Deepdale kitchen is hiring a chef. They offer PS10.60 an hour and full-time and part-time hours.
Wagamama closes Preston branch 8 months after it opened
The Preston branch of Wagamama has been removed from Deliveroo and Wagamama websites and apps. A Facebook page confirmed that the Preston branch is now “permanently closed”.
It delivered to the entire city and nearby areas, including Ingol, Fulwood and Penwortham. Customers who were not within the Deliveroo delivery area could order online and pick up from the kitchen’.
Wagamama stated that it was excited to open its first Lancashire branch, in Preston, earlier this year and hopes to repeat the success it enjoyed in other cities.
Alice Eagle, regional marketing manager, said that she was thrilled to open the second Wagamama Kitchen in the North of England after experiencing great success in Leeds.
