ITV has confirmed that 2023 will not be the summer of love. There will be two Love Island series. ITV’s hit dating show will be available in both winter and summer seasons. The first season of bombshells and bust-ups is just months away, as well as a new host. What is the date for the next Love Island instalment? And what other details have been confirmed about the winter series of Love Island?
When will Winter Love Island 2023 begin?
ITV has yet to confirm the exact date, but they have confirmed that it will begin ‘in January 2023’. The previous winter season ran from January 12 through February 23rd.
It will be filmed in which location?
Winter stars will once more be moving to a South African villa during the series.
South Africa is in the southern hemisphere, which means that it experiences warmer temperatures than the UK. This means that islanders don’t have to change their swimsuits for snowboots. ITV bosses have confirmed that singletons will move into a brand new villa. The dating show will return to Mallorca in the summer series.
Who will host it?
Maya Jama will host both series in 2023. After Caroline Flack’s tragic death, it was announced that Laura Whitmore would host the final series of Love Island. Laura Whitmore was the face of the hit series since 2020. But, it was announced that she would not be returning to the show for another series in August.
ITV spokesperson stated that Laura had been a great host over the three previous series. “We are so grateful to her for all she brought to the program, but we understand and respect her choice. We look forward to working together on future ITV projects.
Rumours abound on the internet about Whitmore’s replacement, including those of Maura Higgins, Ekin-su Curculoglu, comedian Katherine Ryan and Emily Atack.
