Ben has been admitted to hospital after suffering a nerve damage during a June 2020 football match. He was participating in the cup final for the Arthur Dunn veterans cup. On June 24, 2021, he revealed that he had a brace on his leg.BEN Shephard in hospital.
He stated, “You may recall that a few weeks back I played in the cup final for the Arthur Dunn veterans’ cup.
“We won the cup final but I started with two legs, and ended up with one.
“I didn’t realize that I had ruptured my ACL, tore the meniscus, and also fractured a part of my leg.
“Interestingly, I didn’t realise I’d done it quite so bad. After playing for about 20-25 minutes, I realized that it felt a bit unstable and I should stop.
“It turned out that I had severed all my nerves. That is why I couldn’t feel any pain so I just kept playing.”
Now, he is undergoing an operation to fix the injury.
After he fractured his leg in a football match, he broke his meniscus and ruptured his anteriorcruciate ligament.
What is Ben Shephard up to?
Ben shared a photo of his operation on Instagram, showing pen marks left by a surgeon. So far, so good! The arrow is on its right leg!
Later, he added: “That’s no fake tan by any means, I promise. Despite my Essex roots I didn’t fake a tan before my operation.
“So, they have repaired the ACL & the meniscus. Now comes the rehab, the slow rehab.”
Ben could be seen in hospital wearing his gown and said that the painkillers seemed to be working right now.
