PETER Andre has called Kate Garraway following the news that his husband Derek Draper was admitted to hospital.It is after Kate was 55, said she received an email on air on Good Morning Britain to tell her Derek 54 had been “really unwell”. Kate Garraway’s husband Derek Draperwas taken to A&E for sepsis more than two weeks ago, following an array of health issues that he had since contracting Covid at the beginning of the year 2020.
Today, sweet Pete Pete, who is 49, shared that his heart is with Kate after Derek’s health issues.
The message from the singer came shortly after Kate confirmed that Derek was in the hospital following an unplanned and terrifying turn in his health.In his OK! Magazine column this week Peter wrote: Sending my warmest wish for Kate Garraway after she revealed her husband Derek Draper nearly died of sepsis.
We’ve known Kate for a few years and she’s one of the most loving and kind people you’ll ever meet across.It is still a source of frustration for me to no end when I think of all those who believed that Covid was not real until you consider what has been going on with Derek
In the meantime, last week Kate revealed to viewers that she had received the call live on air to tell her Derek was taking an unfavorable turn.
Derek was discharged from hospital around three weeks ago, and there were no medical issues. When we went on air when I received an email from the person who was looking after Derek.
Derek was admitted to A&E where doctors discovered his kidneys infected.It is believed Derek remains being treated in the hospital but is not receiving intensive medical care.
Kate told
There is no need to worry about the Sepsis is at a minimum. One kidney looks well, we just need to examine the second one.We’re returning to the right side of the issue now.Kate has been juggling caring for Derek while also taking care of their two children, Darcey, 16, and Billy, 12.Speaking to The Sun earlier, Kate said she tried to keep smiling despite the challenges they had to face.
A person who is close to Derek’s family has told The Mirror that Derek is “seriously unwell”, but they also said that the family is aware that Derek could be in danger in the hands of the authorities and they know that Kate is doing all she can to help her husband. Try to be positive about life particularly the children, since we’ve been through two and one-half year of that. They’ve changed their life and they’re required to do things.Derek was admitted to the hospital in March 2020 following the discovery of Covid. He was able to return home to the home of his parents in April 2021. However, it was necessary to be treated round the clock.
