Sunil and Deborah Eappen had hired Louise to care for their baby boy in Boston, Massachusetts.

In February 1997, he died from brain haemorrhage. A month later, she called 911 to report that the baby was unresponsive and struggling for breath. Five days later, he died from brain hemorhage.

Louise was later arrested and charged with first-degree killing.

She was the first Brit to be tried for murder in front TV cameras.However, she was released 10 days later after an appeal. Her conviction was reduced to involuntary murder.She returned to Cheshire, where she obtained a law degree.

She met Antony Elkes, a Chester club member, in 2006 and they were married in 2013.She became a mother in 2014. After quitting her legal career after two year, she now teaches salsa, ballroom, and tango near her home in Shropshire. Louise was hired by Sunil and Deborah Eappen, to care for their baby boy in Boston, Massachusetts.
